Thank you so much for this message.
God is indeed steadfast and constant in His ways.
Too often, we become overwhelmed by and in our circumstances. Perhaps, all we need to do to shed off this sort of weight(s) is to confess and pray to God about our helplessness and ask Him to look upon our helpless state. He said to the patriarch in Genesis 15, “Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” Now that points to the past, the present and the future. He is who and what He says He is – He doesn’t need to pontificate about Himself.
Before, during and after these times, He is our shield/refuge, and our exceeding great reward.
Thanks again for sharing.
God bless you and yours.
Great to hear your voice again, Nigel, thank you.
The Guardian has reported that ‘a quarter of adults in the UK have watched or listened to a religious service since the coronavirus lockdown began, and one in 20 have started praying during the crisis, according to a new survey’ (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/may/03/british-public-turn-to-prayer-as-one-in-four-tune-in-to-religious-services), so this is a message of comfort and encouragement for those of us in the church and a message of truth and hope to those who God is drawing to himself.

Great! I love the fact that God can’t help but help us when we call on Him. My favourite song on ‘God’s Great Dance Floor’ by Martin Smith is ‘Great is Your faithfulness’. It has the line ‘…. through the years You’ve always been there; great is Your love for us, through the years You’ll always be there.’ A lot’s happened since I’ve known Him, and I know by experience that these words are absolutely true. Amen.
