Thank you so much for sharing.
God bless.
I guess we all have favourite psalms, and favourite bits of particular psalms. When I’ve been under threat and a little afraid, as I often have been in my working career, God has spoken to me through Psalm 91. As I’ve probably said, and I’ve heard many others say, He’s never let me down.
I recently went through Psalm 73 and had the pleasure of spending a while with verses that I love:
When my soul was embittered,
when I was pricked in heart,
I was brutish and ignorant;
I was like a beast toward You.
Nevertheless, I am continually with You;
You hold my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward You will receive me to glory.
Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides You.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (Ps 73:21-26)
I know what it is to be brutish and ignorant, like a beast in pain – full of anger, despair and bitterness. But then God spoke to me and everything changed. I’m no longer angry, just occasionally stupid. God is always holding my hand, and He’s holding yours too.
