Students at Gateway

Leaving home, making new friends, managing your finances, finding a part time job, studying…maybe even getting used to life in a different country. Starting University is an exciting time but it can be pretty daunting too!

If you’re due to begin your studies in September and you’d like to find out a bit more about what it means to study here in Wrexham and worship as part of Gateway Church, why not get in touch?  You can use the contact form here or you can email directly to students@gwrx.org.

We’ve had the pleasure and privilege of welcoming many students from many nations from both the University and the Maelor Hospital over the years.  You can read some of their experiences below.

Your Story…?

If you’ve been a student at Gateway, why not get in touch and tell us your story?

Pete and Katherine

Overseeing the students in our church family are Pete and Katherine Davis.

Pete has had a varied career from being a professional bass player to working in printing – feel free to ask him more about that.

He has been involved in youth and student ministry all over the country for many years. He even met his wife Katherine, who is a children’s doctor, whilst they were doing youth work together in Butlins!

Pete and Katherine have a heart to serve and support all the students that come along to Gateway through University and beyond.

They hope to be able to help Gateway Church feel like a second family so if you are a student and haven’t met them yet, please do go and introduce yourself.
